Harare is the Capital and largest city of Zimbabwe. It is the trade center for tobacco, cotton, citrus fruits and maize. It is also famous for the manufacturing of textile, steel and chemical. It has gold mines. The largest institution of learning 'University of Zimbabwe' is situated in Harare

Harare. It retained the name Selisburg until 1982. Previously Harare was the name of the black residential area now known as Mbare. This area is now the site of many of the most important Government buildings. Harare has a pleasant climate. There are three main seasons; a warm wet season, a cool-dry season and a hot-dry season.

There are a lot of worth visiting institutions such as Queen Victoria Museumand the Queen Victoria National Library, both at the civic Center. A variety of wild animals and bird species e.g. zebra, giraffe, wild beest, bush buck, Steen buck, reed buck and impala can be seen. Harare is known as a land of diversity and un-rivelled natural beauty.

Harare has a strong culture, historical heritage and a number of old buildings have been preserved. The Mining Pension Fund Building and Second Street are examples. More than 900 species of wild trees and shrubs from all over the country are currently available in National Botanic Garden. You can experience nature first-hand in Harare. It is a land with modern buildings and fascinating history that provides depth and meaning.
